AREA OF RESCUE / AREA OF REFUGE SYSTEMS

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires newly constructed multi-story buildings to have Area of Rescue (also called Area of Refuge) systems.  These systems provide a means for building occupants who cannot traverse stairs without assistance to request evacuation assistance in emergencies.  These systems allow occupants to be able to assemble by an exit and await assistance or instructions by first responders.

A-V Corp provides multiple types of Area of Rescue / Area of Refuge systems and monitoring of these systems by our UL listed central monitoring station.  Our systems provide clear audio communications to our monitoring station or a location in a customer-owned building staffed 24/7 to respond to emergency calls.
